Businesses are operated based on profit making and in the process we also consider our Ethics while making the profit.
For this week 175: episode 1, we have a great topic that says - Profits or Ethics. No business can do without both of them. Any correct business man will first consider the happiness of his or her customers at the same time make profit. There are like a coin with two sides. Profits and ethics. If you choose one and live the other, the business will not be balanced.
Let's consider going with Ethics alone and throwing away profit making in any business. No man can survive that in the business. When all you want is to make your customers happy so that they can come back tomorrow and business keep moving. How can you take care of your bills? How can you also feed? When you are doing a business that can't take care of bills even right inside the business, then you know that it will definitely close up in some months to come. I keep hearing people saying that customers are always right. I know what that means. They are right because you don't want to chase them away. But when you continue to allow them do what they want at your business expens, the that business is going down in no distance time.
Making profit alone and forget about ethics. This also won't be accepted in any business. When you as the business man or woman goes home happy because you have made enough profit and allow your customers to go home sad because you don't really care how the feel. That business too will soon break down. While making the profit always remember that people have feelings. People have a say too. By the time you give them such a high price simply because you want to make profit, then that customer may not come back again and it will also affect the business negatively. When you don't treat your customers very well so that they will be happy buying from you, then your business will suffer lost that is if it didn't close it completely.
LEARNING POINT
I believe that no business man or woman can do with just one of these points we have raised here. Two of them most go together. Going with just one means bad luck for that market. It will just be like the center table in our houses that needs all the legs to function very well. If one of the legs break , all other legs will not be able to carry the heavy loads that might be in it. It needs all the legs if we actually need it to work correctly
