The Get Up Kids 1999 second full length album Something To Write Home About. Released on Vagrant Records which also has bands like Dashboard Confessional, Saves The Day, Alkaline Trio and more on roster in late nineties but mostly early 2000’s. The Get Up Kids were just early and likely would have had more success if this album came out a couple years later.
First Tune Up is the song Ten Minutes. A classic in the small late nineties indie scene. It did get light play on MTV but due to being on a small indie label not as much as deserved. Although in 2002 another band on the same label did get mainstream success. The band Dashboard Confessional. Also minor success by label mates Saves The Day & Alkaline Trio.

Second Tune Up is the song Action & Action from same album. This was the music video that got most play on MTV although it wasn’t much. MTV 2 played it a lot more.

Third & Last Tune Is The Song Holiday. As I said all three tunes from same 1999 album “Something To Write Home About. I choose the three singles with music videos but two of the three were very low quality and mostly include live and random footage. The songs are catchy and I believe if on a bigger label they’d of been as big as Jimmy Eat World got in 20002. Just saying 😁
