The weather in the Philippines is crazy.
Today, it would be all hot and sunny. The next day, it would be raining heavily. On some days, it would be sunny for few hours, then it would rain, or they could be together at the same time. It's like the sun and the rain is playing hide and seek most of the time. Even so, it still feels like we're being baked inside the oven during this summer season. Well, somehow, we're still grateful for the rain, though. At least, it lessened the heat index a little bit, making the day more bearable these days.
And, it's a bit of coincidence that I have read @ruffatotmeee's post about how they found a coconut before this happened, then here the next day, my friend invited me to come to their place to have Buko Juice.
Although, as for the one's that we got here, it's not free like the one that Ruffa found in her place. We paid 30 pesos for each of those young coconuts, then bought a can of condensed milk and ice cubes.

Under the shade of the Coconut Trees beside his house, we placed a folding bed as an alternative for a table since there are no tables available to borrow. The boys opened the coconuts using the sharp bolo and poured its water to the pitcher, then grate the young coconut meat after breaking them in half. It was @itsmefria who mixed it it together and served it to us.
And some funny thing that we did here, we made a DIY pitcher out of a plastic water container because he doesn't own a bigger pitcher for this amount. 🌿
It's our type of activity sometimes when we wanted to unwind due to overwhelming tasks at school. When we don't know anymore which tasks to do first, then we gotta hang out like this and then, think about it when we cool down. With this hot weather, its timing came along perfectly with our hot heads from stress this semester. Every week, there would be a mountain pile high of workloads assigned by teachers. I couldn't be able to write more blogs anymore nor even just read and check for updates here in the platform. Moreover, I'm now officially a working student, so it adds up to that, more hectic schedule for me, more workloads, stress and less rest. I really wish for the semester to end faster and for the summer to come sooner. Well, at least, I'd only think about work by then and free from any school related stuff for a while.
To add more fun in this refreshing drink in our small and simple get together, my friend pulled out his speaker and microphone from his home and lend it to us. Each of them took turns to sing a song and enjoy the Karaoke session. We all know, it says that almost 95% of Filipinos know how to sing. And, I'm proud to say that I belong to the remaining 5% of Filipinos who loves the song but singing doesn't love them. I got the Patata take my turn in the Karaoke then. 😆
Supposedly, we gotta watch the sunset at the beach after this but the rain poured down heavily. We went to a nearby eatery instead, and ordered Lomi, Arroz Caldo and Molo Soup to warm our stomach from the cold weather. The rain just made our experience useless there in an instant. But that's okay, what matters importantly is that we enjoyed the drink and the moment together as a group.
