See the victory ahead.

Pleasant cheery greetings to you all.

Show me a person who had never felt pain and distress and I'll show you a person who has never tried to strive.

This was the thought that came to me when I saw the indiaunited community prompt for this week which states “leaving comfort behind”.

If we are truly honest with ourselves,we will realize that we all love “comfort”. No one wants to be in any form of discomfort at all especially when they have a choice. It would always be the easy way out.

But still, fact remains that there are certain heights that we cannot achieve if we do not leave our comfort zone. Going up a hill is far more difficult than coming down.

For us to gain new grounds and heights, there is a need to leave our comfort behind because if we are not careful, the very thing that brings us comfort can end up becoming the chains that bind us to a spot while others are making headway.

In order for a baby to be born, the woman leaves her comfort of a slim and probably figure eight body, and takes on discomfort of stretching skin, sleepless nights, endless weird cravings and the pain of birthing that child during labour.

Some women during labour fight for their life, enduring immense pain and sometimes, a tearing of their flesh that can never be mended to its original state again, all for that one child. But when the baby is born, you'll see the mother smiling from ear to ear, gushing over her baby with powerful emotions. She can't wait to show the world her bundle of joy.

This is a typical illustration of leaving comfort behind*.

It doesn't just resonate with house relocation, heading off to school, financing a project but it cuts across many areas of our life and sadly, some of these areas are overlooked.

Whenever we choose to make a hard decision for a greater good, we are leaving comfort behind. When a student stays up all night to read her materials in preparation for an upcoming examination, that student is leaving his / her comfort behind.

When a parent makes the choice of sacrificing his last cash, so his child can have something they requested for, this is leaving comfort behind. And like I stated earlier, this is an important aspect of growth in all ramifications because at the end, that person who chose to leave comfort behind will be rewarded and come out victorious.

Athletes can relate with this too. Waking up earlier than others to train and condition the body and keep it fit for the competition for many days is no joke but at the end, a winner is born out of that athlete.

Don't be afraid to leave comfort behind. It is not always pleasant but the end result is worth it.

Thank you all for reading. This is my response ro the #iucontest for this week.

Hmmm, who doesn't love comfort, I do o. 😂 But being too comfortable with where you are or position is a pointer to stagnation. To achieve success, one must experience a degree of discomfort. No two ways about it.

Exactly ooo

You must leave your comfort zone in other to achieve your goals

That's just the fact o

Comfort can keep one redundant and confined to a place or position which they should have outgrown. We all desire comfort but we need to train our bodies and minds to override that desire.

Leaving one’s comfort zone is likened to making tough sacrifices but in the end, the result will be evident. Sometimes, our comfort zone can be like a honey when taken too much could be dangerous to our health.

Yes, that's true
