Stepping up the game! My Actifit Report Card: March 10 2026

How beautiful is waking up rested! Only one disturbance by Lily, only one short nightmare after which she fell back asleep immediately. Everything was easier today. She was in a good mood, so was I. It seems like the talk on Sunday evening had really taken some weight off her, and she’s almost back to being that happy, light personality again. Even her learning got better, or it feels like it. Today’s homework was a piece of cake compared to other days. She’s with her mom for the rest of the week now, until Monday. I hope she can preserve that innocence.

Tuesday is leg day at the gym for me. I don’t really like training legs, everything always hurts afterwards and I feel double tired. Same today. But I powered through and did do all my chores, plus meditating which faded into napping. By noon, I already had 8k steps done. Errands, deliveries, picking up a book for Lily – it adds up quickly.

Her mom needed us to swing by a seamstress where she’ll have some clothing adapted. But as always, the opening times were incorrect, so we went for pizza instead. Unlucky us, it started pouring when we had just finished. I tugged Lily in my rain coat which looked incredibly sweet and funny, and we sped through the torment towards the seamstress place – which was still closed. Sorry not sorry, we tried two times and I will not let Lily catch yet another cold. Back home, I put her under a warm shower.

My brother was watching football, Bayern Munich against Atalanta Bergamo. 0:0 when we arrived. By the time Lily came out of the shower, it was 0:3 for Bayern. Ended 1:6. Pretty harsh for Champions League. Lily and I went on to finish her homework before my psychologist came for a follow up on some exercises she had given me. We had agreed to try to rope Lily into that, too, as they’re very helpful breathing exercises. So the P brought her laptop and a little device to measure my heartrate while doing the exercise, and that way visualize it for us. All three of us did it, and thanks to my longer experience with meditation and such exercises, my results were the most stable waves. It was interesting to see it on screen, both before the exercise, and afterwards.

We got Lily to agree to do it, too, and she thought it was fun. But rather she wanted to do the equine therapy that my P offers, too. That will be good for her. Hopefully, we can arrange it for next Tuesday. Lily loves horses, I love her getting help handling all those nasty emotions stemming from being torn between her parents. Everybody wins.

So far for today, it’s getting late. Have a good night and thank you for reading!
