Greetings, fellow craft lovers! Welcome back to my workshop @bricolajedc. Today, I invite you to join me for an outdoor art therapy session that I did with my family a few days ago. Come along and I'll show you the process of painting ceramics with Zentangle.
The Zentangle technique is not only applied to paper with markers and micro-tip pens; we can apply it to any surface and with different types of paint. On this occasion, I worked with this beautiful technique on a piece of ceramics.
There was a wide variety of pieces and paints in a beautiful outdoor space where art therapy sessions are held. I loved this place.

I chose a beveled dog figure. After seeing all the paints they had there, I decided on a beautiful light blue shade.
I used light blue as the base for my entire porcelain figure. It was really fun to be in this outdoor space next to the mountain with a view of the city.
It was really relaxing, and all the other participants in the therapy wanted to paint their figures in different ways.
I find the Zentangle technique very easy and relaxing, so when my base paint dried, I started making my tangles with a liner brush and black paint. I made quick progress and finished my dog, which I named Blue Zentangle.
In some parts of my figure, I wanted to mark the beveled edges with a line, but in other parts I let the figures themselves create the separation.
I loved working with this material; it's what I always do, but on a different surface and with other materials. I enjoyed every stroke. To dry the piece, I left the beveled dog on a surface that allowed it to dry in the open air and enjoyed the pool and restaurant.
It took me two days, approximately four hours spread over both days, to finish applying the Zentangle technique to the entire ceramic piece.

I really recommend this activity, especially if you want to disconnect from your routine and obligations and have a moment to think, relax, and why not? Share with your family away from screens.
The fresh, pure mountain air is revitalizing, and being able to enjoy painting so many small strokes gave me the opportunity to practice the Zentangle technique on an uneven surface. The texture of ceramics with a paint base is totally different from the texture of the paper I usually work with for this technique, so it was completely new to me.

Blue Zentangle: Arte Terapia
Saludos amigos amantes de las artes manuales! Sean bienvenidos una vez más a mi taller @bricolajedc, en esta oportunidad los invito a una sesión de arte terapia al aire libre que hice con mi familia hace unos días. Acompáñenme y les muestro el proceso de pintar cerámica con Zentangle.
La técnica de Zentangle no solamente se aplica sobre el papel con plumones y bolígrafos de micro punta, podemos aplicarla sobre cualquier superficie y con diferentes tipos de pintura, en esta oportunidad trabajé esta bonita técnica sobre una pieza de de cerámica.
Había una gran variedad de piezas y pinturas en un bonito espacio al aire libre donde se hacen sesiones de arte terapia. Amé este lugar.
Escogí una figura de perro biselado. Luego de ver todas las pinturas que tenían en el lugar, me decidí por un bello tono celeste.
Use el color celeste como base para toda mi figura de porcelana. De verdad que fue divertido poder estar en este espacio al aire libre junto a la montaña y con la vista hacia la ciudad.
Fue realmente relajante y todos los otros participantes en la terapia quisieron pintar sus figuras en formas diferentes.
La técnica de Zentangle me resulta muy fácil y relajante, por eso al secarse mi pintura de base, comencé a hacer mis tangles con un pincel liner y pintura de color negro. Fue rápido que avancé y terminé mi perro al que llamé: Blue Zentangle.
En algunos de los tramos de mi figura, quise demarcar los bordes biselados con una línea, pero en otros tramos dejé que las figuras solamente hicieran la separación.
Me encantó trabajar este material,es lo que hago siempre pero en otra superficie y con otros materiales. Disfruté cada trazo. Para el proceso de secado de la pieza, dejaba el perro biselado en una superficie que permitía el secado al aire libre y disfrutaba de la piscina y el restaurante.
Demoré 2 días, aproximadamente 4 horas repartidas en ambos dias, para terminar de aplicar la técnica de Zentangle en toda la pieza de cerámica.

Realmente recomiendo esta actividad, sobre todo si quieres desconectar de la rutina,las obligaciones y tener un momento para pensar, relajarte y por qué no? Compartir en familia lejos de las pantallas.
El aire fresco y puro de la montaña es revitalizante y poder disfrutar de pintar tantos pequeños trazos me dio la oportunidad de practicar la técnica de Zentangle sobre una superficie irregular, la textura de la cerámica con una base de pintura es totalmente diferente a la textura del papel con la que acostumbro a trabajar esta técnica por lo que fue totalmente nuevo para mi.
Me encantaría repetir una sesión de arte terapia con cerámica. Gracias por acompañarme en esta bonita experiencia. Nos vemos en una próxima oportunidad. Chao!
