Greetings, fellow craft lovers! Welcome back to my workshop @bricolajedc. Today, we’ll be making some beautiful flower earrings using wirework and UV resin, with a design inspired by Mother’s Day. Join me, and I’ll walk you through the creative process.

Les doy la bienvenida una vez más a mi taller @bricolajedc, en esta oportunidad para elaborar unos bellos aretes de flores utilizando la técnica de alambrismo y resina UV con un diseño inspirado en el día de la madre. Acompáñenme y les muestro el proceso creativo.

For this project, we will need:

#28 and #18 silver-plated jewelry wire
Jewelry pliers
UV resin
Gold beads
Clear adhesive tape
Floral foam
Pastel pink UV nail base coat #04
Round mandrel
UV lamp
Face mask
Stainless steel polka dot earrings

We start by shaping the flower petals using the round mandrel and #28 wire. We work directly from the roll to avoid wasting wire.

Cinta adhesiva transparente
Esponja para floristería
Pintura base para uñas UV color rosa pastel #04
Mandril redondo
Lámpara UV
Mascarilla
Aretes tipo topitos wn acero inoxidable

Comenzamos formando los pétalos de las flores con ayuda del mandril redondo y el alambre #28. Trabajamos directamente del rollo para no desperdiciar alambre.

Use the pliers to shape each petal into a teardrop. I used size #3 mandrel to make a medium-sized flower. I just shaped each petal into a teardrop, but you can shape them however you like.

Con la pinza vamos a darle forma de gota a cada pétalo. Yo utilicé la medida #3 del mandril para hacer una flor mediana. Y solamente le hice la forma de gota a cada pétalo pero puedes darle la forma de tu preferencia.

Once all the petals are shaped, cut a piece of masking tape and place it with the adhesive side facing up to attach all the petals to which you will apply the resin.

Una vez que tengamos todos los pétalos formados, cortamos un trozo de cinta adhesiva y la colocamos con el pegamento hacia arriba para pegar todos los pétalos en los que aplicaremos la resina.

Place a drop of resin inside each petal, making sure it doesn't spill out. You can use a toothpick or a fine resin brush to apply a thin layer of resin.

Place it under the UV lamp for 2 minutes.

Colocamos una gota de resina dentro de cada pétalo y procuramos que no se salga. Podemos ayudarnos con un palito o un pincel fino para resina, par hacer una delgada capa de resina.

Vamos a llevar a la lámpara uv por 2 minutos.

Carefully peel the petals off the adhesive tape, keeping in mind that the resin layer is very thin and can break, and then use the mandrel to shape them into a curve.

Despegamos los pétalos con mucho cuidado de la cinta adhesiva, recordando que la capa de resina es muy delgada y que se pueden romper, para luego dar una forma curva con ayuda del mandril.

Grab the sponge and let's get started. Dip all the curved petals into the pink UV nail polish and apply several coats. After each coat, cure them under the lamp for 2 minutes. You'll need about 3 or 4 coats of resin to achieve the desired thickness.

Tomamos la esponja y vamos. Introducir todos los pétalos curvados para aplicar varias capas de pintura de uñas uv de color rosa. Entre cada pasada vamos a colocar la lámpara en 2 minutos. Serían unas 3 o cuatro capas de resina para que tomen el grosor que necesitamos.

Let's take the little ball and, using a drop of resin, glue each petal in place, using the ball as the center. I have these spherical balls in different sizes, and I think they're perfect for the center of these flowers.

Vamos a tomar el topito y con una gota de resina vamos pegando cada petalo utilizando el topito como centro. Yo tengo estos topitos en forma de esfera en diferentes tamaños que me parece son perfectos para el centro de estas flores.

Finally, we’ll make some pistils using twisted wire and gold beads. We’ll attach them with a drop of resin.

Para finalizar, hacemos unos pistilos con alambre entorchado y mostacillas doradas. Vamos a pegarlos con una gota de resina.

I created a couple more designs, since this technique lets us experiment and let our imaginations run wild.

Hice un par de diseños adicionales ya que con esta técnica podemos jugar y dejar volar la imaginación.

It took me several attempts to figure out the process and achieve a result I was happy with. But thanks to my persistence and by experimenting with different materials and methods, I finally succeeded.

Este proyecto me tomó varios intentos en entender el proceso para tener un resultado que fuera de mi agrado. Y gracias a la insistencia y a probar diferentes materiales y métodos por fin lo he logrado.
