A large percent of what is experienced by man is a a result of man's actions. God doesn't impose Himself in the affairs of man except we invite Him. So inasmuch as things are going wrong with God's people and He truly wants to help them He cannot really do much if we don't seek Him.
Proverbs 8:17 KJV
I love them that love me; And those that seek me early shall find me.
The problem we have as humans is that we are too quick to blame God but fail to take responsibilities over our actions. God gave man dominion over this earth but it's a shame that most people make abuse of this dominion that God gave to them to carry out selfish deeds which comes with consequences.
In Genesis 6 vs 6 God said that He regretted creating man because of how they drifted from the path which the Lord laid out for them. God is more pained than we are because we put hands to vandalize the perfect world that He created. But there's a remedy if we should repent and turn back to God with the whole of our hearts.
