At the end of each year, we like to look back and see how well the project has done and to provide a real growth number rather than just an expected one.
The situation at the end of 2024 (precise date: 23.12.2024)
At the almost exact same moment, last year there were 32'220 Hive powered up on the underlying @ctpsb account and there were CTPSB 9458 tokens in circulation. The price per token was at 3.407 hive.
The situation today (21.12.2025)
After exactly 363 days, the hive power of the underlying hive account has grown to 36'359 (+4'139). Whereas the number of CTPSB tokens in circulation has dropped to 9201 (- 257). The token value is now at 3.952 Hive.
The return of the CTPSB token
To calculate the APR of the project for 2025, we will make the following calculation:
((Price 21.12.25 – price 23.12.24) / Price 23.12.24) * 363 / 365 = 16 * 363 / 365 = 15.9%
In 2025, the CTPSB token has effectively grown by 15.9% which is pretty awesome, considering that curation rewards on hive were between 8 and 9% this year.
Outlook for 2026
With the changes brought about with the hard fork 28, the curation rewards as a whole have decreased on hive. This means that we expect a lower return as well for CTPSB. However, there is a leverage effect in place that might push the APR up. The sustainable burn mechanism is reducing the supply constantly even if it is at a low rate. This has a cumulative effect since with every token burnt, the remaining tokens gain value. This effect becomes more efficient the less tokens are in circulation.
With regular posts, we hope that we will be able to bring the APR for CTPSB to around 14% in 2026.
