At first, I was very pleased with my results for my Guild Brawl matches. I had 5 wins and only 2 losses. My reward was 231 merits and 13.963 SPS. I especially like getting the SPS as I am trying to increase my staked SPS.
But then when I started really looking at my wins and losses, I noticed that 3 of my wins were given to me by the system since there were not enough players in my fray so I received 3 bonus wins for just joining that fray and did not have to do anything else for the wins. I will take any type of win I can get because it helps my over all stats and also helps me receive additional SPS.
The other 2 wins of the 5 total wins that I had came when my "Opponent Fled" so based on this discovery, I actually did not win any matches that I actually was matched with an opponent that entered matches into the system.
Our guild had to restart from sctach in April 2025 re-leveling up building. This takes time and until you get your store to level 2, you are not able to use Gladiator cards in matches. This became very evident during this week's brawl with the two matches that I was actually able to play and lost, my opponents were able to use their Gladiator cards.
Quora Towershead gladiator card that my opponent used in the above match is a very strong card with the Bloodlust and Healing abilities. If you can not use other gladiator cards in your line up to help offset these abilities, it is very difficult to with the match against it. Another reason is that I do not have a large selection of Rebellion or Conclave cards to choose from as well.
In my second real match against an opponent in this week's brawls, my opponent used the Captain Katie gladiator card. This is another very strong card with a 3 magic attack. Once the Bloodlust ability kicks in and this cards starts gaining an additional magic attack for each of my cards it kills, there is really not stopping it.
The good news is that with this week's brawl placing and rewards, the guild was able to earn enough Crowns to upgrade the store to Level 2. Going forward, the guild members will be able to use our Gladiator cards in matches.
This week's brawl rewards were 231 Merits anda 13.963 staked SPS. I will take both the merits and SPS anytime. No with the store upgraded, I am also able to purchase additional Gladius Cases (packs) with the merits I have won in past brawl matches.
I have over 3,200 merits so am able to purchase another pack of gladiator cards. I received the normal 4 common and 1 rare cards upon opening the pack. I double checked to see if I could level up any of them and I already have them at level 3 and not enough spare cards to level them up to the next level. With future winnings and purchases, I hope to be able to level them up further.
