The morning was very dull and threatened rain, but it kept dry, which surprised me. I finally decided to venture out for my cycle ride well into the afternoon. It stayed dry, I'm pleased to say.

Starting off via some alleyways and local roads following a designated cycle route between Crawley and Horsham towns.

Finally, at about my halfway point, I entered through a gate into farmland where a track is located. Following this footpath system, circumnavigating a large field, then into the woods.

After reaching Horsham, my route turns for home again, entering the large woods, Owlbeech, and Leechpool woods. These woods are very popular with dog walkers, but today, being on monday, I only passed one group of people.
Further along this route is St. Leonards forest. I found some nice fungi here. Another example of Amanita muscaria and many other fungi of which I dont have a clue what species they are 🤣.

There is some stunning scenery along this route. It's one of my favourite rides.
A total of 18 miles of bliss! It took just over 2 hours riding with lots of stops to take in the views and take pictures too.

My final stop. The lake in Buchan Park. Looking very tranquil in the dull conditions today. 😁
