The were some seriously heavy showers around this afternoon. I got caught in one while out cycling on my way back home, soaking me to the skin. I expected to encounter a shower but this was something else!
Our morning skies were quite clear, but I did not leave for the ride until about midday in the end. This was to be a mis judgement.
Autumn is now in full swing and leaves are everywhere, making the tarmac treacherous in places. Takibg it easy on the roads, I looked for some off-road tracks to explore.
I was prepared to get wet so no problem when the rain came. My jacket is not waterproof as I prefer the breathable materials for cycling.
Someone has put up a line of posts next to a footpath, presumably to keep unwanted visitors out! A strange thing to find out in the woods. There is nothing here to protect, just trees and fresh air! 🤣 The posts were a little too close to the track so I had difficulties riding along here.
I had fun out today. It is totally different riding conditions when its wet, as tree roots and wet leaves are very slippery indeed. Great fun! 😅
