
Out on a walk today I spotted a rabbit under the cover of some overhanging grass stems. I approached slowly to get these pictures and was surprised how long it stayed there.

Inevitably, it hopped off into the bushes but not before I got my pictures. 😀.
I was a little surprised to see rabbits here though. There are two artificial lakes built into a research park in Guildford.

Rabbits appear anywhere there is plenty of grass, and protection from predators.
I spotted moorhens here too, feeding their young on the grassy banks.
These lakes are strictly private though, so no fishing or swimming is allowed. I'm not a fisherman for one thing, but I am definitely not tempted to swim in that! 😲
