Hello Hivians
We have a Hive Power Up Day today but it's a real one, not some April Mop Stuff. Hive Power Up Day is a day when everyone here remind each other how important Hive Power (HP) is by doing Hive Powering Up (Staking) together, and we have that every month on 1st date.
For Today, I could do what I talked about Power Up last month... It is a 1.000 HP Power UP!

I should make another 1000 Hive Power Up soon, but I haven't been able to sell Splinterlands $SPS on the right value. Well after I unstaked them, the price dropped because the Escalation presale period was over. so they are hanging around in my Hive Engine wallet right now.

Based on http://Hivestats.com last month I have been growing for about 1000 HP, from author rewards and curation reward. So Powering Up 1000 HP today could be said as doubling my growth. Is that awesome? Well for me it is not, it is something that is decent.
I have two reasons why I say it is decent. First My goal this year is to hit atleast 62.000 HP, so I still have a long way to go. Getting 1000 HP up is not a solution to reach that value. The other reason is money-wise, it is a god damn $58. I am not saying that number is peanuts, everyone can do many thing with that amount, for example for buying good food and drinks... But $58 won't get you anywhere.
THE VALUE PROPOSITION
A few days ago I read @hurtlocker post about https://peakd.com/hive/@hurtlocker/what-is-the-value-proposition-for-buying-hive. Hive price keeps dipping and people might question why should we buy HIVE? Well, I think I have the right to answer this because:

My 1000 Hive Power Up today came from binance, which meant I bought them in the market. I bought those HIVE,
so his question about
why would someone buy Hive? What value does a person get when they buy Hive?
1. Flexing
I am not a person who talk big and use power and influence so people keep following me. When I say I like HIVE, so I buy them too. That simple, or Keep It Simple Stupid precisely
There are people on this blockchain, who have gigantic HP, either they are HIVE orcas or HIVE whales, keep saying HIVE is great, Hive is the best... but when did the last time they buy HIVE? 3 years ago? 4 years go? oh yes, they will always say oh I can not buy HIVE at the moment... yeah right
I do not mind people are buying and selling their HIVE, everyone have their own condition and situation, and it is their money too anyway. However if you are a HIVE maxi, when HIVE down, you must buy them up. That's the rule in the market, doesn't matter if you are already a kraken, the time when nobody buys, the price is guaranteed to fall down... but you can brag that you help the market by not selling yours... yeah right again
At least I can flex buying 1000 HIVE lol, not just talking big. It is a small money anyway, but I do buy it.
2. I Get Nothing
When I bought those 1000 HIVE and powered up, I got nothing. What value does a person get when they buy Hive? Nothing. I was surprised that a whale asked that question lol.
We get nothing when we buy HIVE, making a power up gives us nothing significant too. Unless if you are powering up on a whale size, some people will come and pretend to be buddy buddy with you. Maybe they are not pretending, they genuinely want to be your friend and they only want to be friends with people who have money.
I only buy hive for fun and to help others. $58 a month won't do me anything, it is still money but not a life changer nor going to kill me. But it could help me make others happy here, by voting them in on a tiny scale.
Ok that's for today power up. I am still recovering from a nasty food poisoning. Sorry for being so random, can not think clearly now due to medication effect.
I should have posted something about football on https://sportsblock.app , to make some Brazilians happy. I know some Brazilians here, such as @mengao @gwajnberg @rimurutempest @shiftrox and others, they must be sad their GOAT is not called by the Don Carlo
It's about time Gen Z and Gen Alpha have their own version of Neymar, Millenial had already got Neymar Legendary 2018 Roll...
See you next month guys!
