Greetings Fellow Summoners
It's been a while I haven't shared any battles about Splinterlands. I have been busy so I do not have many good battles reference. However today I have got several of them and I think it's a good time to start share my thoughts about some battles.
So two days ago I had a battle in a brawl, which I saw my opponent came with a very good line up. He had done all he could to exploit all the modifiers we had there.

Of course I won't share the battle I have lost then said it was a bad luck lol. This was a good battle, and both of us used several same units. However how we saw the modifiers, how we set up our meta, were completely different. I had a more defensive line up, and he was all out attacks which later he lost badly.
so let's check this battle directly, and see what has gone wrong there
This was the battle from that brawl. Could you figure out what were the difference between us? Well let me share them here, because sometime the differences and the similarities came from some packages.
- Both of us tried to exploit THE POWER OF THREE modifier, by bringing a couple of 3 mana units. Somehow we ended up having a Cruel Senthropod, which I used him as a backline wall incase they sent some sneak attackers, and they used him as the main tank, a unit meant to buy some rounds.
- Both of us relied on sneak attack by employing Isgald Vorst. The difference was that he committed more on the attack by adding deeplurker as the Isgald Vorst tandem.
- We trusted our frontwall to Commander Slade. The difference laid on the positioning. I put him as the main tank, expecting him not to die easily. They used him in front of the opportunity attackers, but not as main tank. I bet they tried to exploit the hard hitting trait from Commander Slade.
- They tried to exploit WHAT DOESN'T KILL YOU modifier, a modifier that gives RAGE abilities to all units. They put Kelya Frendul so they could have 1 more speed. Speed and melee damage are essential for enraged units. To make sure they had all their units got enraged, they set Shock Tropper in and expect him to electrified the other units, making them Enraged.
- This is the main difference between us, I focused on defense traits by having Tidal Tsunamist and Anash Soothsayer. I needed those two to make sure that my Commander Slade would not get killed in one or two rounds.
so how this battle would progress? I would not share all the details here, but I would show you a couple of the milestones here

After the first two round, my team started to lead. They lost two of their units, which were 3 mana units, the small ones. I lost one 3 mana unit too, it was pelacor bandit. Any lost on below 35 mana cap battles could be decisive, and at this point, they lost more units which meant they had put into a worse position.
Having Shock Tropper who activated enraged on all units was a very smart move, however the longer the battle progressing, he would keep hurting his teammate and weakened the team.

In the end, the battle ended in round fifth. It was a terrible lost for them, as they started the battle convincingly. I won this battle but I had to admit they had a great idea of exploiting the RAGE - rulet.
Honestly they did not set a wrong meta, but they definitely had one part missing there. Could you guess it? It was the killing point. In general I dare myself to say they have better approach, but they just could not kill my unit, that's all.
The first two round they could only kill my Pelacor Bandit, at that point it already told us that they were dull. In my opinion, they put their focus too much about how to make a scary team with great attributes, but forgot about how they wanted to kill my line up. Two opportunity attackers seems great, but sometime that approach could not work well too.
Well sometime you could not win them all anyway. If you have three modifiers, most of the time it is better to focus on one or two only, rather than taking them all and lose due to missing out one simple factor.
So what do you think about this battle, do you agree or disagree with me? feel free to express yourself here. That's all I want to share today. Thanks for reading and see you on Splinterlands battle!

Great deck selection. It was a very balanced line-up, apart from the key misses against your Commander Slade by your opponent, which proved decisive in the battle. If I had to choose an MVP from your collection, I would pick TIDAL TSUNAMI â its repair ability throughout the match was a real delight to behold. Weldone warrior đ.
the problem with using double or tripple opportunity is like that, sometime the attackers get trapped in aiming the difficult target at the same time. and we can add one more factor, that is deeplurker tends to steal the kill from Isgald Vorst, making bloodlust ability useless because he is not the one who makes the kill.
