Greeting Splinterlands Summoners
I hope you are having a good splinterlands season on this round. I have a bad one but things get better now. What I mean is that my win rate is getting better, somehow good players are rising up too soon so I do not meet them again at the moment lol.
In this opportunity, I want to talk about a card here, an summoner archon precisely. It is Marlai Singariel, a foundation card summoner from water element. Basically you can get her for free or you can buy it directly to level her up faster.

I bought mine from @thebighigg through some shabby transaction lol. The price right now is cheaper than the time I bought from him. So he got the good price and actually I did not lose too. Marlai Singariel gave me plenty of wins, maybe I have got more from the wins solely due to her.
The decision to buy her was a bad one that time, because I thought I could use her on Brawls... and It doesn't work like that, but anyway it still lands on a happy ending version.
There is nothing special about Marlai Singariel, only her archon buff that is a +1 magic damage. This is not something that special if you play on all full max level, but for most cards below gold league level... +1 magic damage could be a lethal buff.
So this is like an early phase trump card... is it? well, let's see a battle then!
The Battle
This is the battle I choose to display MArlai Singariel. My main reason is simple, my opponent has a better summoner, a legendary summoner and some of his cards have higher level than me. My line up is not entirely having lower level, so we can say its quite balance.

But I know some of you might disagree with me because of the modifiers. We have thick skinned here and magic should be a better attack than the other two. However if we count in the earth quake modifier, magic units are not a good one. Most of them have lower Health Point towards other.
The simple thing we can see is that my line up which is a full mages squad, have lower health point than my opponent line up.

I always appraise the power of both line up during the ambush phase, after both party deploy their buff and debuff. so for this battle:
- They have 10 melee damage, 5 range damage and 11 magic damage. Combined all, they become 26 damage per round. This number is ridiculous you know...
- My team has 17 magic damage and 2 range damage. I have an extra armor strike attack with 3 damage. So overall my team could reach 22 damage per round, a ridiculous number too.
- So this is a heavyweight slugfest battle, both of us hit hard, very hard. They hit harder but my hit are magic dominated, so they would bypass armor and shield ability. Speed wise, both of us have about the same speed.

So let's fast forward to the round 2. At round two, both of us still have similar strength.
- Both of us still have 4 units, that should be good, both of us only lose a unit per round
- They have 5 melee damage, 11 magic damage and 5 range damage. Their attack power is still terrifying, 21 damage per round.
- My team is no less dangerous too, we have 14 magic damage, 2 range damage and 3 armor strike. However my mages seem faster than their units, this is the decisive factor.

Round 4 is the last one. I do not entirely dominate the battle, but overall they lose everything from damage, speed and meta. I do not see my opponent line up as something bad, but definitely Marlai Singariel successfully leads her team to victory here.

However I will be honest here. I have an advantage in this battle due to Aerial ShieldMaiden. She is the sole flying units in this battle, however it shows that even Marlai Singariel does not buff her at all, she could do well with non magic units.
This is the reason why I think buying her is a good decision, she could fight stronger summoners here. What do you think about Marlai Singariel? share your thought below and thank you for visiting my post here. see you next time!
