I’ve noticed this year, that there just aren’t many ‘shrooms around. The likely suspect is rainfall and temperatures.

Jan sent me the first pic and these next two. She said they appeared in the morning on grass with the dew on it.

Very delicate looking! 🍄‍🟫

I have quite the database of ‘shroom pictures I’ve taken over the years. Enjoy a few!

Those are a whole bunch of great mushroom shots, Liz! I love all kinds of shroomies, and yes, they are definitely strongly affected by rainfall (that's a big one) and temperature. Around here, they pop up in abundance after good rains. Keep archiving your shroom shots, my friend! 😁🙏💚✨🤙

Thank you! Yes they are, but they are only in their prime for about 3 days; then they start turning black (hence the name inky blacks) and are no long viable.

I have around 14,000 on my phone, lol! Crazy-I know!

As for storage; there's a couple of options. You could back them up to the cloud-this is what I do; I pay for the service $2.99 a month (based on size of gigs my phone has) and that way, even if my phone dies or I lose it, I don't lose my data. Another option would be if you have Amazon Prime, you automatically have access to photo storage on their servers specifically for photos. The only drawback to this is if you cancel your prime account, you would lose the access.

Of course, you can also store them on a jump drive, but getting them from the phone to that might be problematic unless you can connect the jump drive directly to your phone.

And one more I can think of, is to transfer to your computer, but it's time consuming.

I have an iPhone; 256Gig storage and use iCloud to store on.

That's a pretty good sized 'shroom! I am not sure of the species, although I have seen these around here as well before. Maybe take google and take the pic and see what it comes up with. I tried it with my app plantsnap, but the 'shroom it brings up isn't the same. Let me know if you find out. I've seen these as big as around 8-10" before. I just call them pancake 'shrooms! Take care sis! !LUV
