El estimado de víctimas mortales es de entre 10 mil y 100 mil personas, lo que cual es lógico, tomando en consideración que ambos terremotos afectaron a la zona urbana más densamente poblada del país. Esto les da una idea de la gravedad de la situación, sin contar las pérdidas materiales y el daño estructural que se ha producido. Adicionalmente, son las mismas personas, la sociedad civil, el pueblo, quienes están llevando a cabo las labores de rescate de sobrevivientes y muertos, y esto lo están haciendo prácticamente con las uñas. No hay ayuda ni presencia de los organismos oficiales, ni del ejército.

Este post NO ES para pedir recursos económicos ni materiales, pues yo vivo muy lejos de la zona de desastre, y no puedo gestionar ayuda para las personas que lo requieren con urgencia. Con este post lo que pido es una oración por mi país, por mi pueblo. No importa qué fé profeses, no importa en qué Dios creas, lo importante es que si sale de tu alma y de tu corazón, eleves una plegaria, un pensamiento por mi país, para que puedan ser rescatadas y/o encontradas más personas (tanto vivas como muertas), que haya orden en las zonas de desastre, que no se produzcan hechos de rapiña o de violencia, y que Venezuela pueda recuperarse y sanar pronto. Toda buena vibra, todo buen pensamiento, palabra y oración de amor es importante y valioso. Muchas gracias!

I never thought I would have to write a post as sad as this one. I never imagined that tragedy would strike my country—my people—once again in the way it has. Many of you likely already know that yesterday, Thursday, June 24, 2026, the most destructive earthquakes in Venezuela's recent history occurred: one measuring 7.1 and the other 7.5, striking consecutively just 40 seconds apart. I will not delve into technical details, as I am not a geologist and lack expertise in the subject; what I do know is that both seismic events have caused devastation, death, and destruction across my beloved Venezuela, particularly in the north of the country—specifically the capital region and La Guaira state (formerly known as Vargas state)..

The estimated death toll ranges from 10,000 to 100,000 people—a figure that makes sense, given that both earthquakes struck the country's most densely populated urban area. This gives you an idea of the gravity of the situation, not to mention the material losses and structural damage incurred. Furthermore, it is the people themselves—civil society—who are carrying out the efforts to recover survivors and the deceased, doing so with virtually no resources. There is no aid or presence from official agencies or the army.

This post is NOT a request for financial or material resources; I live very far from the disaster zone and cannot coordinate aid for those who urgently need it. Instead, I am asking for prayers for my country and its people. Regardless of your faith or which God you believe in, what matters is that—if it comes from your soul and heart—you offer up a prayer or a thought for my country. I ask that more people be rescued or found (whether alive or deceased), that order be maintained in the disaster zones, that there be no looting or violence, and that Venezuela may soon recover and heal. Every good vibe, every positive thought, word, and loving prayer is important and valuable. Thank you very much!
