Today marks 10 years since a heavy flood killed over a 100 people at Kwame Nkrumah's Circle in Accra, Ghana. It's rainy season again and nothing has changed. On the said date, it rained heavily and people sought shelter at a fuel pump station. The flood waters mixed with the fuel and there was an explosion. Most of the people who died were burnt to death.
You'd think we would have learnt some lessons but no. Whenever there's rainfall, people still take shelter in fuel stations. May their souls rest in peace. There are floods in different parts of the country every week for about a month now but it seems we've gotten used to it. Nothing is changing. People still build in water ways like it's nothing.
Thank God for life. All's well here. Work could be better, but still good. We are able to meet the target though. Praise be to God.
