25 years ago today, Ghanas worst stadium disaster happened at the Accra Sports Stadium during a match between Accra Hearts of Oak and arch rivals Kumasi Asante Kotoko. Almost 200 people died and it’s a reminder that, the same things that makes us happy can become our source of pain. My condolences to the families who lost their loved ones. It’s a shame such a thing happened and I hope and pray it never repeats itself. I was very young when it happened but it left a mark on my life and I’ve been scared of visiting the stadium since then. Hopefully, I get over it and visit a stadium very soon.
