The data can be wrong sometimes. It's rare but it happens.
As for the talk about ETH and alts, I agree that its selective.
CPI data is bullish, so we are seeing that Ethereum is pumping quite a bit at the moment and once it breaks its all-time high, money will start flowing back into altcoins.
