A Very Pre Nirvana Breakout Success Early Nineties Seattle Three Tune Tuesday! 💿 Soundgarden! Mother Love Bone! Alice In Chains! & Bonus Tune!

On this weeks Three Tune Tuesday (8/18/26) I bring you the three biggest bands from 1990/1991 Seattle scene. Just prior to Nirvana blowing up in 1991, three bands already had major label releases in 1989 & 1990 over a year prior to the Seattle explosion of mainstream success.

Soundgarden released there second album & first major label release in 1989. I got some play on radio but was still lesser known. Mother Love Bone was about to blow up and was kinda a bringe between the eighties scene & the Nirvana sound. Sadly there frontman Andrew Wood passed away before the albums release and the other members went on to find a singer named Eddie and formed Pearl Jam. Alice In Chains first album came out in 1990 and the song Man In The Box got radio play long before Nirvana. Enjoy my picks below! Also I picked a lesser known Seattle band (Mudhoney) for my Bonus Tune. All four songs were released and came out at least one year before Nirvana blew the scene up.
