Some people will say leaving one's comfort zone is a very hard thing to do, but to make it in life, we have to step out of our comfort zone. If I ask you reading this post, some of you will like to remain in your comfort zone because, just like the name implies, it feels comfortable and you are safe in it, with the grace to do what you like, the easy routine, and the onboarded peace of mind. But if we are not going to lie to ourselves, that comfort might be drawing us back in some areas of life.

Should I say I learned this the hard way? When I was in school, there was this software I needed to learn from a friend because my profession required it, and I will also be doing the exam, but instead of going to his place to learn it, I decided to stay in my room doing other things until a few days before the exam, when he barely had time to teach me. I ended up doing sleepless nights, which sucks, and I realized that this is not good enough for me, which made me change my perspective about some things.
In my culture, and looking at this from the biblical point of view, we have been told to be content with what we have because it is a great gain; in reality, it also means we should settle. And looking at our comfort zone, we will discover that we rarely make any meaningful progress.
They always hear the saying that we should make hay when the sun shines, which always makes the farmers plant at the right time, because if they do not, the season will go and there will be nothing for them to harvest. Also, someone who trades, either crypto or any form of trade, will not make profits if they stay back and refuse to take risks. Life always pays us back in good when we are consistent, not when we remain on a point.

When people hear the word "leave your comfort zone", it always gives them different meanings, and this does not mean that we should change cities and abandon that job we are doing. Most times, leaving our comfort zone can be as simple as changing our perspective or the way we think and aiming to dream big, passing our limitations and the place we grew up in. When it remained a few days to the exam and I had really understood the software, I got scared because I was yet to know the basics. And from that, I learned that comfort might be very sweet and easy, but with growth, I feel better after I learn one or two things about that software.
So I will sometimes say it is good to deny ourselves some things to grow and make progress; comfort is good, but too much of it can be dangerous.
