The Blood-Boltered Herd has been brawling other Splinterlands guilds for sixteen months now, but I, the gink who started the guild, have only just realized that the guild has a library!
Or, more correctly, the guild COULD have a library if I donated some monster cards to it!
The Blood-Boltered Herd Has Been Upgrading Its Other Buildings
Actually, over the last sixteen months, the guild members have been working on upgrading the Hall (level 4), the Barracks (level 3), the Store (level 3), and the Arena (level 2). Meanwhile, our joint activity has brought the Lodge close to a level 4 upgrade...
But as for the library, I simply hadn't noticed it before. Is it a new building? Perhaps, but if so, I didn't get the message!
Anyway, I was checking out another guild which had poached one of our members to see what their game was. It turns out that one of their attractions is their library!
A library? I didn't know there was a library! đŗ
What is the Guild Library?
A quick google revealed that the Library is indeed a new-ish building, launched in April this year, so I was a bit slow to get the message. In case you didn't know, here's the info:
https://support.splinterlands.com/hc/en-us/articles/47531305506708-Guild-Library
Here's what it says:
The Guild Library in Splinterlands is a new building that allow all guild members borrow and lend leftover cards so other players in their guild may use them during Brawls.
I think it's a cool feature to have in the guild as it can help players with limited collections make use of monsters that they might not own. So I immediately got to work on creating a library for the Blood-Boltered Herd...
The Blood-Boltered Herd Library
So far, I've added fifteen monsters to the library.

There is room for five more at Level 1, and my next objective is to upgrade the Library to level 2, which will enable us to expand the library to fifty cards. Any guild member can add cards to the library and also borrow them for their brawls.

And Another Thing!
The other thing I learnt after spying on the guild that poached a member from us was how to use the ANNOUNCEMENTS. That guild had a ton of announcements that gave the Guild Info page a nice buzz and a sense that the guild was active and dynamic. Compared to that, there were ZERO announcements on our home page!
Okay, so now there is only ONE announcement, but ONE is better than NONE, and since the announcements are dated, it does at least show that we are still alive and kicking:

Come and Gallop with the Blood-Boltered Herd
We welcome players of all levels! I suspect that some lower rated players feel a bit intimidated by participating. If that is you, consider this: every player who participates in a guild brawl helps the whole team do better, even if that player loses every brawl they fight in!
And now we are building a library to help you build better brawls!

If you don't have one yet, you'll need to get a Splinterlands account so you can join the guild:

Cheers!
