I was in Kuala Lumpur to attend the tenth HiveFest, and our base was the KL Journal Hotel, which, it turns out, has its own resident cat that hangs out as a permanent fixture on the front steps. You might say that it owns those steps and has them as its personal domain.
Those steps are where it lives, moves, and has its being - except that it doesn't move very much, as it sleeps most of the time in blissful contentment and security, its belly being the only part of it that moves, in a slow undulation of peaceful sleep.
When it does stir itself, it moves with a stiff gait and a limp. It has a broken tail, all signs that it has seen much of life and is now living out its retirement as the hotel's mascot - or should I say mas-cat.
I couldn't resist taking a photo, and also this short video of one of the star attractions of my time in Kuala Lumpur at the KL Journal Hotel:

Cheers!
