Greetings to Splinterlands players!
There are less than six days until the current season ends. I'm competing in Bronze I and attempting to reach Silver III again this season.
I'm joined in a guild that competes in weekly brawls. The brawls are another source of SPS rewards. This week, we are about to start another one and I already reserved my slot.
Aspiring Splinterlands players should join guilds. They offer benefits and camaraderie that you won't get from playing solo.
My Line-Up
I keep experimenting and updating my line-up to see what works. This week I bought another card to improve my Death team. Magic units are my favorite so I bought another one I saw as a good deal.
I bought a Silverleaf Warlock for $0.5. It's a card from the Conclave Arcana set. It has 2 magic attack for 6 mana. Lately, the Death element is my most used element. I have a lot of good cards that give me wins like the Arachne Weaver and Meriput Slinger.
I rented an archon because I wanted to experiment with different line-ups. The archon I rented was dual element. This way, I can combine my Death and Water element cards in one deck.
Zeddica is a dual element archon for Water and Death. She does not have any unit buffs but she is only a 3 mana card. I can possibly put more units because of her reduced mana.
New Line-Up Battles
Some games using my new cards. I find new synergies in combining Death and Water cards. Perhaps I should rent other dual element archons to try other combinations. I have good frontline cards in Water and strong magic and archer cards in Death. It's a perfect combination to take advantage of.
In this game, the opponent's front line (Commander Slade) is stronger and faster. My backline has more attack and I have more units that the opponent. This game me the advantage in this game.
Round 1 - The game starts with me having five units versus the enemy's four.
Round 2 - Both our frontlines got eliminated. It's now my four units against the enemy's three. I still have the advantage of having more attackers.
Round 3 - One of my units got killed, it's now even.
Round 4 - The enemy is fighting back. My team eliminated another enemy unit and he's left with only an archer.
Round 5 - Game over.

In this next game, the opponent did not use melee units because of the Thorns ruleset. In spite of this, I felt I still need to use a melee unit because my other units have little defense to use in front. This time I used Commander Slade. He has 5 shield and 8 life. My opponent used magic and archer units only.
My team has a combination of a strong frontline and magic and archer units with high attack in the back. I used my new unit Silverleaf Warlock. I also have Arachne Weaver in the team. He has 2 magic damage and heals allies. Sorrow Harvester is a unit from the Foundation set. She has 2 magic damage and decreases the enemy health by 1. Little Sister is a legendary unit from the Foundation set. She only has one magic damage but she has a Life Leech skill that increases her life as she attacks. Last, I have Razorhound. He has 2 archer attack and gives +1 life to all allies.
Round 1 - My team quickly eliminated two enemy units.
Round 2 - My frontline was destroyed at the start of the round. Three more enemy units were killed. It's five versus one going to Round 3.
Round 3 - Game over.
