Hey everyone, these past few days I've been a bit absent and lacking motivation, or, as they say, my mind's been blank. I was cleaning up my phone and, luckily, I managed to free up some space. I decided to try playing a game I used to be really addicted to years ago, right from its launch, but then, due to phone issues, I couldn't continue. Even so, after testing it out, I was really excited that it ran smoothly, so today I'm here to share a bit about my return to Call of Duty Mobile.
Hola a todos, en estos días en los que he estado algo ausente y sin esa chispa de motivación o, como quien dice, con la mente en blanco, estuve haciendo limpieza en mi teléfono y, para mi suerte, logré liberar espacio y quise probar a jugar un juego al que solía viciarme mucho hace años desde sus inicios, pero luego, por problemas del teléfono, no pude seguir. Aun así, haciendo la prueba, me emocionó mucho que ha estado fluido, por lo que hoy les vengo a compartir un poco sobre mi regreso a Call of Duty Mobile.
One thing to mention is that back in the day I was obsessed with completing every battle pass, and one of my favorite modes was ranked matches; these were the 5 vs 5 matches and also the Battle Royale mode. So, after setting everything to the minimum in terms of graphics, keeping in mind that my Redmi 9 phone gets a bit hot with some use, I set out to see how I was doing in terms of ranks and familiarize myself again with the game and the new modes that have been added in the time I've been away.
Algo que decir era que en sus tiempos tenía una afición por completar cada pase de batalla y una de las modalidades que más me gustaban eran las partidas igualadas para los rankings; estas eran las partidas de 5 vs. 5 y lo que también es el Battle Royale, por lo que luego de configurar todo al mínimo en cuanto a gráficos, teniendo en cuenta que mi teléfono Redmi 9 se pone algo caliente con algunos usos, me dispuse a ver cómo estaba en cuanto a rangos y familiarizarme de nuevo con el juego y las nuevas modalidades que han añadido en el tiempo que he estado ausente.
The first thing I focused on was 5v5 ranked matches, which I was really excited about, since one of the great things about CoD is that it lets you have character and weapon skins for different modes and custom loadouts. In these matches, I use a submachine gun with a skin from my favorite season, featuring a sakura blossom and wolf design. As usual, I made some adjustments to it to improve the aiming, since it fires in bursts and tends to drift to the sides with the aim and range. It's one of the things I tweak most often, along with the character skin for this weapon, which is Seraph Fallen Fiend, my favorite skin so far.
En las primeras cosas en que me enfoqué fue en las partidas 5v5 en modo igualada, donde la verdad estaba emocionada, ya que una de las cosas del CoD es que te permite tener skins en personajes y armas para modos distintos y equipamientos personalizados. En estas partidas tengo un arma subfusil cuya skin es de mi temporada favorita, con diseño de flores sakura y un lobo. A esta, por norma y costumbre, le hice algunas modificaciones para el tema de la puntería, ya que, como dispara en ráfaga, suele ser irse a los lados con la puntería y alcance, y es de las cosas que más suelo moverle por maña, así como la skin de personaje para este equipamiento, siendo la Seraph Fallen Fiend, la cual es mi skin favorita hasta ahora.
As part of what I consider a good streak, I had some very good matches, not so smooth because of my phone and internet, but quite fun and victorious, which got me warmed up like in the old days and allowed me to play for a good while. Surprisingly, and with the rewards for winning matches, I was able to climb the ranks quite a bit, going from an initial Elite 5 to a Professional 4, which is a great improvement and good rewards, as well as increased experience for weapons and better stats, which I like.
Como parte de lo que considero una buena racha, tuve muy buenas partidas, no tan fluidas por el tema de mi teléfono y el internet, pero bastante divertidas y victoriosas, lo cual me hizo entrar en calor como en los viejos tiempos y estar por un buen rato jugando, lo cual, sorprendentemente, y con un tema de recompensas por partidas ganadas, pude subir bastante el rango, pasando de un inicial elite 5 a un profesional 4, lo cual es un gran avance y buenas recompensas, así como subida de experiencia para armas y estadísticas mejores, cosa que me gusta.
And in Battle Royale mode, I have to say that I didn't usually have a consistently good winning streak; however, this time around, I was surprised that, aside from having a great time, my winning streak was very successful, with several matches in a row, even with more than 6 kills, which was always one of my goals. In this mode, I'm using a skin that was one of the two special themed skins for its first anniversary, which I really like. I also noticed that, as a new feature, there's a new Night mode with the standard map, which is new to me, but once it's available, I'll be sure to try it out and see how I do.
Y en el modo Battle Royale debo decir que normalmente no solía tener una buena racha de modo constante; sin embargo, en esta nueva vuelta me sorprendió que, aparte de pasarla muy bien, la racha de partidas ganadas fue muy exitosa, teniendo varias seguidas, incluso con kills mayores a 6, lo cual siempre era uno de mis objetivos. Con este modo uso una skin que fue una de las dos especiales de temáticas de su primer aniversario, que me gusta mucho, y también pude ver que, como cosa nueva, hay una nueva modalidad en Nocturno con el mapa común, el cual es nuevo para mí, pero que, una vez se habilite, estaré atenta a probar, a ver qué tal me va.
In this mode, I climbed straight to Professional 2, which is about 10 levels higher than where I was before the seasonal reset, which felt like a real adrenaline rush. I should mention that there's something like a money item scattered around the map that accumulates, but I don't really understand its purpose, so I'll have to upgrade myself gradually with each match. What I do know is that, as I remembered and was able to set as my goal, I want to get my favorite rewards from this ranked mode. In Battle Royale, reaching Grandmaster 5 unlocks a seasonal skin, which I liked, and in 5v5 matches, you get a weapon and emotes at various ranks.
En este modo aumenté hasta profesional 2 de manera seguida, lo cual son como 10 niveles desde donde me encontraba con el conocido reinicio que se hace cada temporada, cosa que sentí que fue como un boom de adrenalina. Debo decir que hay cosas como un ítem de dinero que se encuentra en el mapa, el cual se va acumulando, pero no entiendo bien el fin con este, por lo que el actualizarme bien será poco a poco en cada partida. Lo que sí es que, como recordaba y pude estipular como objetivo, es conseguir mis recompensas favoritas en torno a esta modalidad de igualadas o ranking, donde en el modo battle royale, llegando a gran maestro 5, se obtiene una skin de la temporada, la cual me gustó, y en partidas 5 vs. 5, un arma más emotes en diversos rangos alcanzados.
So, after refreshing my game, I also took the opportunity to check and update my stats, claim pending rewards, and update frames and view cards, like the space for displaying weapons and other items. The truth is, as I mentioned before, I've been playing this game since it came out, and it's brought back so many memories: all-nighters, friendships that are still going strong, and funny stories. So, I'll be taking advantage of this time to revisit many of those memories and, of course, share a bit of each of my in-game experiences.
Por lo que, luego de refrescar en partidas, aproveché también para ver y actualizar mis datos, reclamar recompensas pendientes y actualizar marcos y tarjetas de vista, como el espacio para exhibir armas y demás. La verdad que este juego, como dije antes, lo juego desde que salió y generó muchos recuerdos, momentos de desveladas, amistades que aún están y historias graciosas, por lo que estaré aprovechando a retomar mucho de esto y, claro, compartir un poco de cada experiencia en juego.
