School is not only for study

"Never stop learning" - is one of my most favorite statements and I also believe that we should not stop learning anytime. It does not matter how much older we become. We start to learn after the time we arrive in this world and there is always the possibility to learn till the last breath of our lives. We start to learn things from our family members at the beginning and later we go to school to learn something more related to academics that can help us in life because to survive in this world we need real skills and academic institutions mostly do that task for us.

At least till now traditional institutions have done the task. But now we are living in this digital world and situation changed a lot. Education as well as the things we learn from academic institutions are not bound to institutions now. With the help of advanced technology, almost every skill can be learned without going to institutions. In the earlier days people used to think that Institutional knowledge is something hard to learn but now we can easily learn it just by seeing the videos from YouTube or we can ask chatbot like ChatGPT, Gemini or Claudie for any kind of knowledge, we want to learn. Those are capable enough to provide information in the way we want and sometimes it can be considered as good compared to the way our education and the institution try to teach us.

In my country, the education system is not suitable for students also. It's because our education system only focuses on theoretical knowledge rather than giving us any practical knowledge that can be useful to our life. I completed my post-graduation exam already and till now I never learned about how to make financial decisions, how to make or manage a portfolio and how to do risk management in finance from any academic institution. I'm not saying I didn't learn anything from academic institutions, but like finance, there are many things missing in our education system that is needed almost in every step in our life. The competitor for a job is so much that most of the students remain unemployed even after completing their degrees.

What we learn from school is not useful in most cases unless we do official jobs related to our fields. In real life, skills matter more than that we learned just by memorizing. And certificates in my country do not carry the true value of it because most of the certificates are based on memorizing power. When it's time to make money or find a job, it's very difficult to secure a good position without real skill. So, I believe that schooling or giving education from home is a good thing. And I think that in that way a student can learn much better than a student to learn from school. At least I can say it if I consider education.

But going to academic institution is not only bound to education only. It also teaches how to be social with others, as well as with peers. It helps us to make connections and grow a network. I know that there are other ways to establish connection, but I believe that the network student can make from the academic institutions and later in the real world is much solid and stronger. Teaching students from home can ensure efficiency but going to school allows them to have fun and enjoy the time with their friends. The bond of friendship is very precious and in real life troubles can help in various ways. At the present time, the connection in online also works, but it also has limitations while the connection as well as networking offline is much better compared to the online networking.

Only acquiring skills or increasing efficiency is not a goal of every human. We need to enjoy the life and have some quality time with our friends and academic institutions give such an environment and for that reason I think that students should go to the academic institutions while they can get all those facilities including the education and at the same time it also allow them to how to adapt with a different environment which is very important in our lives.
