Can you believe it? I went to the shop with my wife...
Take note, I didn't go shopping...I just went with...lol.
Yes, I hate shopping. If I have to go buy something, I know exactly what I need. I'll go into the shop, head straight for whatever it is I need, and I'll be out of there before you know it...lol.
Well...I needed to buy some vitamin supplements (which is something I would do quite regularly) and my wife had to do some shopping. The weather around here didn't really give us much opportunity to get out for other outings to take photos lately.
So, I decided I'll join my wife in going to the shops this time. But, I would be heading for the vitamins and getting out. Then, while she is doing the shopping, I would take some photos of the "market-related" area...
Where I would have no problem going in though, would be at the nursery, as we needed to get some potting soil for the garden. So, that was also on the agenda.
So, our first stop was at Hillcrest Corner. We parked in the basement of the building and as we approached the staircase leading up to the ground floor, I took this photo, showing some Christmas decorations along the way.
Inside the complex, it was not really as busy as I expected it to be and I was able to get some shots with my mobile phone of the decorations inside.
It happened to be that Santa Clause was also doing his shopping there...lol.
From there we headed over to the Hillcrest Centre.
Looking to the left, the Italian Restaurant, Papa Giovanni's seemed to be quite busy.

From there we stopped at two more shopping complexes. I got some photos, but nothing I feel is really special...besides looking at the outside of a shop.
At the second shopping complex, there was some colorful wall art under a bridge. I took quite a few photos there and I will do a post with that as a theme shortly.
Our next stop for the day was the nursery to get the potting soil.
I found this to be a welcoming picture as we stepped into the nursery.
Just behind them were these orchids.
Going further into the nursery, we found a cozy little "Coffee Park".
Just around the corner, there was this friendly play area for the little ones.
The owners of this nursery clearly take a keen interest in developing our kid's interest and passion for the outdoors...something I highly appreciate!
We found this section which is focusing on children developing an interest in gardening.
We found the potting soil we were looking for. It cost us R40.00 ($2.28) and the we were heading back home.

Yes, I also thought that the coffee shop was really nice... I actually had some fun. A lady was standing behind the counter. I asked her if she would mind if I took a photo...she looked up, just gave a nervous little yell, and disappeared into the little office behind her. All happened in good spirits though and she was laughing all the way. It came out that she is shy and she is scared of cameras...lol! But as I said, it was all in good spirits and we could all have a little giggle about it...😅.

Nope, definitely not just you. Luckily my hubby is the same. We both don’t like shopping. And groceries we just do once a week. Only because we need fresh stuff… hope when we have a garden, I can grow my own and reduce going to the supermarket hehehe 🤭

It will be great if you can grow your own! I was quite successful with growing our own tomatoes at the previous house we lived in. But we have monkeys in our area, so in general, it becomes a competition to see who gets to the crops first...lol!
Yes, it was all fun and we could all laugh together. I also prefer to rather be behind the lens than in front of it...lol. I believe the fun is in everybody being able to laugh together.

Yes, I was also quite impressed with the way they're teaching the kids.
Nope... I actually didn't buy an orchid...lol.

Just a heads up... I might not be posting this week... I came down with flu and being my impatient self, I thought I was well enough on Monday when the weather allowed it to catch up in the garden...and I think I slightly overdid things... It seems as if it has now turned into a chest infection and it feels as if a train has hit me...lol.
So, I am trying to get some rest and not go out in the rainy weather...
But I'll be back in action asap...
