We cannot continue to be anxious, fatigued, jaded, addicted to the cell phone, to immediacy, to hyper productivity, to achieve everything quickly as if life is going to end tomorrow.
How difficult it is to see oneself as a slave and prisoner of the social system that makes one have to work off the account to buy things that give us more pleasure but do not give us happiness.
It is very difficult to understand that pleasure is not happiness, and that every time you achieve something, that joy only lasts for three or four days and then we get a new object of desire again.
How difficult it is to understand the fulfillment that the simplicity of life, social relationships, affection, family, love produces for us ❣️.
In addition, we all have a purpose in life and it's not just money, it's being able to serve others, provide a service, help, among other things.
On the other hand, the best thing we can do is to go out and look for learnings, I'm not talking about negative events, I'm talking about moments of "now..., although I learned it late, I understand it "the fireflies inside me help me find myself and tell me you're going to have to take brave steps. You are going to have to say goodbye to places, people and belongings.
You're going to have to get used to the discomfort and take steps with fear. You're going to have to keep going even if you want to stop. One small step at a time, in the direction of what you want for your future.
Sometimes when we don't understand, we react: we argue, we isolate ourselves, we overextend ourselves. Has it happened to them? I'm sure you do.
Do you know what's at the bottom? Confusion, tiredness, fear.
I'm going to take advantage of leaving this joke that my dad used to tell me whenever he saw me tired, annoyed, and overwhelmed by overwork, to make me laugh...
A man had a car accident, he tried what he knew to turn it on but he couldn't make it work, so he had no choice but to call a mechanic and when he arrived he looked at the car, opened the hood, took a couple of looks, tightened a screw and run run run the car started. When the owner looks at the bill that the mechanic gave him 🧰 he complained about the price of the mechanical work, saying: "What you did was tighten a screw" and he charges me this price🫣 and the mechanic replies "tightening the screw was free, I'm charging you to know which screw had to be tightened". Love it!!! I had to share it with you.
The moral of this post is that we all go through the silent effort, they underestimate our knowledge, skills, abilities, no one sees what you prepared, the late nights, stumbles, the starts from scratch and they want to put value to your effort.
This is the other side of the coin in this society of fatigue. Since I understood it that way, I feel free.
