Hace algunas semanas en mi ¨ciudad¨: los chicos estaban disfrutando de sus vacaciones de invierno. Si bien nos encanta que los niños pasen más tiempo en el hogar, hay que buscar alguna actividad para hacer que se mantengan entretenidos, y si das con un lugar interesante, una caminata es una genial opción.
A few weeks ago in my "city": the kids were enjoying their winter break. While we love that the children spend more time at home, you have to find some activities to keep them entertained, and if you find an interesting place, a walk is a great option.

Como este año hemos tenido niños extras en casa, dado que vinieron de visita nuestras nietas, tuvimos que organizar salidas y paseos en familia para que las niñas no se aburrieran, y si eso sucede, se imaginan lo que pasa. Una de las tantas salidas ha sido visitar algunos de los ¨parques¨: que tenemos en el microcentro; uno de ellos está ubicado en un ¨barrio¨: hermoso y tranquilo de la ciudad.
Since we've had extra children at home this year, given that our granddaughters came to visit, we had to organize family outings and walks so the girls wouldn't get bored, and if that happens, you can imagine what happens. One of the many outings has been visiting some of the ¨parks¨: we have in the city center; one of them is located in a ¨neighborhood¨: beautiful and quiet part of the city.

Este ¨parque¨: es uno de los más grandes de la capital, y en sus casi diez hectáreas hay muchas áreas para que los niños estén entretenidos y disfrutando de la compañía de sus primos. Lo bueno de este tipo de salida en familia es que uno inculca a los más pequeños a disfrutar de la cercanía de la naturaleza y a cuidar esos recursos.
This ¨park¨: is one of the largest in the capital, and in its almost ten hectares there are many areas for children to be entertained and enjoy the company of their cousins. The great thing about this type of family outing is that it teaches the little ones to enjoy being close to nature and to take care of its resources.

Las caminatas por este encantador espacio ¨recreativo¨: no tienen desperdicio, sobre todo para los niños, ya que hay rincones preciosos para descubrir. Uno de ellos es donde se puede apreciar un puerto deportivo, y las bombas de succión de agua que bebemos los que vivimos en la ciudad; mis nietos no podían creer que de este lugar se obtiene el agua que ¨bebemos¨: . Por estas cosas es que me encanta hacer caminata con mis seres queridos.
Walks through this charming "recreational"space are not to be missed, especially for children, as there are beautiful corners to discover. One of them is where you can see a marina and the water pumps that supply the drinking water we city dwellers get; my grandchildren couldn't believe that this is the place where the water we "drink" comes from. This is why I love hiking with my loved ones.
