Today in Abuja, I witnessed the growing frustration of Nigerians demanding justice. The #FreeNnamdiKanuNow protest wasn’t just about one man — it was about a people tired of being ignored.
From Unity Fountain to Transcorp Hilton, citizens gathered peacefully, calling for Nnamdi Kanu’s release and an end to political oppression. Soon, security operatives arrived — teargas filled the air, and chaos replaced chants for freedom.
It’s heartbreaking to see how voices asking for justice are met with force. Whether one supports Kanu or not, it’s clear that his continued detention has become a national wound — one that reminds us how fragile peace and fairness are in our country.
Nigeria must do better. Justice must not depend on region or belief. ✊
