The sounds of sorrow are echoing in every direction in the air of this land.
Somewhere there are lamps extinguished by the rain of blood.
Somewhere there are the heartbreaking sobs of mothers drowning in lamentation, somewhere there are the trembling cries of dying breaths buried under the rubble of stones,
Somewhere there are helpless souls suffering at the mercy of stormy waves, and somewhere the floodwaters are sweeping away settlements and fields like ashes with their merciless invasion.
Seeing all this, the heart trembles as to whose evil eye has made this dear homeland helpless and ruined?
Is this anger and wrath a manifestation of our insensitivity and negligence?
Will any change arise in our hearts even after these horrific scenes?
After these tragic disasters, will we be able to please Him by bowing before Him and asking for forgiveness for our sins?
