A Bundle of PS4 Games

in Hive Gaming12 days ago

Over the last couple of days, I have been helping Aimee's dad out with a major clear-out of their house.

As we were doing that, he mentioned a stack of PS4 games he is looking to get rid of. He had mentioned these games before, because he knows I sell stuff on eBay, but we never looked at them.

I was under the impression that he was on the fence about selling them, but yesterday he said that since he has the disc-less PS5, he's never going to play them again.

Here is the collection

It is pretty impressive; however, there are not too many heavy-hitters in the entire lot.

I went onto CEX and priced each game according to what they're selling them for, to get a rough idea, and then deducted some money to account for eBay fees.

The total was around €170, which isn't bad, but I did assume it would have been more considering the volume.

I told him the price and offered to just buy the bundle off him, for an amount that allows me to make something.

He had a think, and then said it's no big deal, and that I could just put them up and give him a portion of each sale.

It's not a bad idea, but then I have to make note of each sale, and then it becomes a bit more of a chore than it should be. So, I'm thinking of just working out a price with him and just buying the bundle.

Days Gone

There were a bunch of games present that I have played on the Xbox, but this is one I want to check out, and funnily enough, I was talking with someone on the Hive Gaming community about this only recently.

Usually, when I buy a bundle, I hang onto a few games to build my own collection, while selling the others to pay for the money I spent, and I think this would be one of the games I keep and play.

God of War

I remember someone telling me to play this game when Kaleb came along; they said that they'd imagine it to be a great game for a new father to play.

Since it's here in the bundle, I may just get a chance to finally fulfil that suggestion.

It's not a bad little haul, and there are a few games in the pile worth between €15 - €25, while some others are only worth €6+

I heard there was some news recently with Sony, and something to do with people losing access to digital purchases they made, so who knows, maybe there is going to be a major surge in buying physical media.

Personally, I love physical media, and I have definitely noticed more people talking about building up collections.

Sort:

That's a hefty price, but I think these are good names. Probably they will inherit collectable value in time as well...

My main goal is to sell them on and maybe hold onto a couple of them for myself

I have heard people praising God of War and Red dead 2 but I have not played either of them.

I don't think that I will ever read digital books. But my pc doesn't even have a place to put discs so I am fine buying games at Good old games/ Steam.

If you are interested in buying a disc drive, you can purchase usb ones pretty cheap and they do a good job. Realistically though, these days, the main reason to have a disc drive is if you want to play older titles that don't have a digital version to purchase.

Red Dead 2 is an amazing game, it's one you can really loose yourself in and become immersed

I would sit on them if I were you. With physical media getting totally eliminated you could have one or two of them skyrocket in value. I guess it kind of depends on whether or not you actually need the 200 euros. If not, I would just wrap them up and keep them somewhere safe.

Not a bad idea for a future investment, but they're arn't mine until I buy them off him, or work out some sort of deal.

Also, I have a curated game collection of my own, so don't really have a lot of space to store many more long term

Whoa, you got a cool collection, I see. Days Gone is definitely worth keeping. But I don't see Last of Us II in your collection.

Yeah, it's a pretty decent collection. I'm looking forward to giving Days Gone a go

I've never actually played the Last of Us, but I watched the TV show when that released. I haven't played many PlayStations games from PS3 on, as I was more into the Xbox 360 growing up
