To a lot of people out there, Facebook is not really a thing to them because they see it as a low-rated app compared to the likes of X, Instagram, and TikTok. Meanwhile, Facebook is actually the most used social media app in the world, and I am one of the people that make up that count. It is not a joke. I know a lot of my friends who discard Facebook and label it “an app for children,” and each time they say that, I always try to feel somehow less confident for using what they call an app for children. Lol.

But notwithstanding, Facebook, after WhatsApp (which I will talk about later), is the number one app where I spend most of my time among all the apps and social media platforms on my phone.
The thing is, among all the trending and established social media platforms, Facebook was the one I started with, and it became a part of me. I found it very easy to use and straightforward, especially because I understand my way around the app and can control a lot of things there the way I want. Also, it is my real and main social media account where I have friends and family, unlike other platforms where I do not have family members as followers or friends. Although I seldom chat on Facebook, I still use it to stay connected with friends, especially those whose direct phone numbers I do not have.
I am a big sports fan, especially when it comes to national and world football tournaments such as the FIFA World Cup and the Africa Cup of Nations, and I use Facebook to get updates and stay informed about what is happening around these football tournaments. Especially this season, with AFCON coming very soon, I am always seen on Facebook trying to know the latest happenings.
Anytime I am with my phone and I am not attending to work-related things on it, and I am not replying to messages on WhatsApp, the next place you will most likely find me is on Facebook.
WhatsApp?
WhatsApp used to be my most used app, but currently, it has become just a messaging app for me, which was actually what it was meant for before they introduced the TikTok-like feature called Status. Now, I do not even have many people messaging me on WhatsApp, and I seldom view people’s statuses, so I do not stay there for long anymore like I used to.
