When I first started it was more about the monetized side of Hive as I was trying to generate funds to cover my Splinterlands play. Then I realized just how much fun it was and it became more enjoyable for the social aspect, and the money was just a side bonus.

I really do hope they can get this inflation under control, I would hate to see Hive lose more authors. The last few months I have seen so many people exit stage left after powering down huge amounts of HP due to frustrations with the witnesses...

Hive would need some fresh faces and ideas and the way it is built, the power lies with the people who are here from the beginning and they do not bring the biggest energies to introduce changes to the platform.

I would say 2 and 3 for me, but 1 was my motivation for joining Hive. Over the years, I haven't done much except put some of the Hive rewards into gamees on Hive such as Splinterlands. The rest is on my account, and I treat it more as an investment that might pay off in the future.

I am active on Hive to generate an income through my posts, to grow my stake thereby increase my income, and I have always enjoyed the social side as I earn. Even so, if there wasn't any earning potential, I'd stick to my Wordpress blogs and YouTube!

I am currently increasing my stake , which intern will help me to curate better.
But, at some point i do want to get returns from the effort i have put in for the last 6 years

I feel like I am a mix of 4,3 and 2 in that order. I like the idea of growing my stake but it's not important to me monetarily. I started becoming active on Hive again when the price dipped. I didn't do that on purpose but it just goes to show that I'd rather revel in the social and creative aspect. The price is low but the value remains high.

When I joined hive i was more about the option 2… my dream in crypto in general to leave passively with a stake here ….living of passive incomes… now i changed somewhere between 3 ans 4 social is good… sometimes getting something is nice but at the same time i have a feeling that the rewards nowadays doesn’t make any difference in my life… so let’s just be creative and have fun.

Yes I am I like this place despite of my criticism, the only thing that I gave up was the HBD savings, despite of the APR still being attractive it achieved a bit my stress limits to keep going. any ways as an outcome I also made a nice powerup today =)

I think those are the three main ones. I really believe that what sets Hive apart is its easy monetization, so a lot of people who try to do that elsewhere and fail might end up coming here. Obviously, we have a lot of other things too, I like the network, the friends I’ve made, the things I’ve learned, and now I’m even developing and improving a game, so Hive has plenty of opportunities—we just need to see which one fits us best and go for it.

1 - I am active on hive mainly to generate an income through my posts
2 - I am active on hive to grow my stake so that later I will have a real income from my activity and my stake
3 - I am active on hive because I enjoy the social side and I can earn at the same time

Originally it was #2 to eventually be able to buy some additional silver and gold.

Somewhere over the last year or two that changed to #3 and a little bit of #4.

I've made a lot of friends here that I'm grateful for and don't want to give that up. The earnings are a bonus.

I started as a 1, but I mostly identify myself as a 3 now that I'm retired. But I'm mostly interested in monetised evergreen / perpetual content. With Hive author and curation rewards being a welcome extra. Now, I've proved that the concept is sound as shown by the link to my blog in my profile. But I haven't maintained the focused, niche content generation that this option requires.

Anyway, just today, I started a better version of my niche blog generation app. So I am hoping to have the mix of a better app and more content soon. Though my track record for developing this is not great!

Somewhere between 3 and 4, it depends on the situation and mood. To be honest, I did withdraw some. These days my presence is half-automated. @exhaus auto-publish without any additional touch, mostly, and @actifi. That's it. Other things to do and general mood are the excuses.
