Hey Actifitters,
Even though the official air quality warnings were lifted yesterday and my own sensors at home were back to green, we could still see and smell the smoke from the Canadian wildfires. That didn't stop us from trying to spend all our breaks in the yard with Kaia and Le Chat.
And of course, in the afternoon, we started our long daily walk behind the front yard.
It's always fun for the sisters!
But I could see that unlike the day before, there wasn't any cloud in the West direction. So once again, instead of the forest, we went chasing after the sunset. And it was a weird one!
It's what I was hoping for the day before, that's the silver lining with this smoke, the purple haze sunset!
As usual when we go there, we followed the golf course fence to the North for different views. They were all spectacular, this perfect ball of fire in the hazy purple/pink sky!
When we decided to finally continue in the forest direction, another celestial object was visible on the other side, the Moon of course.
And something else added to the weirdness, a pollen storm, it almost looked as though it was snowing! I thought it was usually earlier in the year, like late April, early May, but not sure. Unlike many people I know, it doesn't affect me, no allergy luckily.
And we finally made it to the forest!
Kaia was tired but happy to be off-leash at last!
Just like the day before, we took a shorter loop in the forest, that was already a good walk.
Like I often say, there's no need to go very far to find deer in our area. They were waiting for us besides our front yard!
That was it for the day's activities. Although the air quality is getting better, the smoke from the Canadian wildfires is still here. Let's hope it fully clears up this week end, as I'm hoping to be quite active outside.
Since it's Caturday, I'll finish with Le Chat saying: Good night and see you tomorrow!
