Hey Actifitters,
After more work in the house, yesterday's activities started like usual with a walk near the forest behind the front yard.
So green right now! Like I said, it's a bit unusual late in July.
Kaia was almost getting bored exploring on her own. Big yawn!
But Le Chat slowly joined us.
Even inside the forest.
Exploration is better in group!
Le Chat didn't go too deep in the forest though. She stayed close to the edge, it's already a big adventure for her.
And that's when all hell broke loose! A very sharp pain near one ankle, followed by many more pretty much all over my body. Yep, most likely I had stepped on a wasp nest. Very strange, cause I didn't hear anything at all, but they were very quickly all over me, dozen sticking to my t-shirt and everywhere. I just panicked, ran back to the house, hitting myself, trying to kill them. Probably only lasted a couple minutes I guess but it was intense! Probably comical from the outside too! Anyways, I ended up with over 35 stings. I hesitated to maybe go to urgent care just in case, but after a shower, although still very painful, and my heart rate still high, I felt fine. So I figured there was no risk for allergies. Later we went for a BBQ at a friend's place, and again, except for the pain, no sign of more severe reaction. Almost a day later now, it's about the same. So, painful, but I guess no danger of anything worse. I think I lost my glasses in all the excitement though. Good thing I had a spare. It shouldn't be an excuse but that's also one of the reasons my step count wasn't as high as I hoped. It was above the bar for #poprzeczka anyway, so it's fine.
As always, thanks for stopping by and see you tomorrow.
