Hey Actifitters,
On Saturday, we planned to visit a friend who lives a little over an hour drive from where I am staying now. Soon after we arrived there, it was already time for lunch and we found a nice little restaurant with great food. Sometimes, not researching where to eat beforehand leads to unexpected gems. After that, we still had a few hours spare. Although I'm not christian or religious for that matter, and I'm pretty sure it was the same for most people in the group, we decided to visit the nearby Basilica of Ars. It's said to be quite famous for Christians, along with Le Cure d'Ars, canonized in 1925.

That's him, le Saint Cure d'Ars.

In a separate much smaller chapel, his heart is also kept.

As often, beautiful details on the inside architecture.

Quick loop around the outside.

I like how so many birds made these their home.

Like I said, although there is absolutely no spiritual meaning for me, it was nice to visit this famous place. I can appreciate the architecture and it was just right there anyways.
After eating some more, including some very good local pastries, we made our way back home. Another show waited for us in the sky, the January full Wolf Supermoon. So majestic!

And that was it, my least active day in possibly years, but it was great to spend the day with friends, lots of food, drinks and laughter.
As always, thanks for stopping by and see you tomorrow.
