Rising Star - I choose one song per day, Daily Rising Star statistics and giveaway of 150,000 starbits - Lowrider: Cypress Hill

In this space I will be giving away STARBITS, sharing my experience with a song, telling how I discovered it, and providing interesting information about it. Then I will include several tables with statistics of the Rising Star game.

Starting in May, I started to create a playlist to keep track of the last songs I commented on in my posts. It will be useful for me not to doubt if I had already talked about a song before or not. The last song is Bandoleros of the latin artist Don Omar & Tego Calderon

My song of choice on Spotify for today's post is Lowrider LP Version of the legendary rap-band Cypress Hill.

Cypress Hill has become my favorite old school Hip-Hop group over the years, followed closely by N.W.A (Niggas With Attitudes). What really sets Cypress Hill apart is their ability to naturally fuse American hip-hop beats with a deeply Latin identity.

This blend not only gave them a unique sound, but also allowed them to connect with a much wider audience, especially the Latino community residing in the United States.

At a time when hip-hop was dominated by African American voices, Cypress Hill broke the hegemony by bringing songs in both English and Spanish.

My first experience with the group was a few years ago, when the Spotify platform recommended me one of their most famous songs: Insane in the Brain. After a while, I stopped listening to Cypress Hill. I drifted away from the group and hip-hop in general, until I rediscovered the genre thanks to N.W.A. It was through them that I reconnected with old school rap,

Cypress Hill is formed by rapper B-Real (Mexican and Cuban descent), followed by vocalist Sen Dog (Cuban), producer Dj Muggs (American) and percussionist Eric Bobo (Cuban).

Lowrider was released in 2001 for the album called Stoned Raiders. It has 150 million plays on Youtube and 47 million on the Spotify platform.

The new format will be similar to the one we used some time ago, using the Hive Tools application.
