In this space I will be giving away STARBITS, sharing my experience with a song, telling how I discovered it, and providing interesting information about it. Then I will include several tables with statistics of the Rising Star game.
After I finished going through the hundred songs provided by Spotify that I listened to the most in the last year, I have thought of adding songs of my choice from my "Like" list that has more than 1000 songs. The last song I talked about in my last post was: Wonderwall: Oasis.
Perdonar es Divino: Gustavo Cerati
My song of choice on Spotify for today's post is Perdonar es Divino of the argentine artist Gustavo Cerati.
Since my childhood, I have had a strong influence of national rock at home. My mother always listened to music from her youth and this included many songs by Charly Garcia, Andres Calamaro and groups such as the Twist, Los Abuelos de la Nada, Seru Giran and Virus.
However, it wasn't until my teenage years that I became more interested in rock music, when I had access to my first phone. I put together my national rock playlist with more modern groups like Attaque 77, Intoxicados, Los Piojos and Las Pastillas del Abuelo.
A few years ago, a friend with whom I used to play Grand Theft Auto San Andreas, recommended me a Gustavo Cerati's solo album. The truth is that I knew his work when he was part of Soda Stereo but not as a soloist. I loved the album with songs like Cosas Imposibles (my favorite), No te creo, Artefacto, Naci para esto, Tu cicatriz en mi, Vivo and Sudestada.
That led me to continue exploring his musical works and that's when I came across his album Bocanada. In this album I found great songs like Bocanada, Puente, Paseo Inmoral and finally Perdonar es Divino.
Perdonar es Divino is part of the album Bocanada released in 1999. It is his second album as a soloist, where he consolidated his position as one of the most influential artists of Rock en Español.
The song has 20,000,000 plays on the Spotify platform and 4,000,000 on Youtube.
