Starting in May, I started to create a playlist to keep track of the last songs I commented on in my posts. It will be useful for me not to doubt if I had already talked about a song before or not. The last song is Nobody Speak of the artist DJ Shadow, Run The Jewels
Nobody Speak: DJ Shadow, Run The Jewels
My song of choice on Spotify for today's post is Nobody Speak of the artist DJ Shadows and the group Run The Jewels.
The other day I had talked about one of the movie sagas that influenced a lot of my musical tastes, such as the Fast and the Furious saga. For that occasion, I had talked about the song Six Days, which was heard in one of the scenes of the movie. While searching for more information about DJ Shadow, I came across a song from his repertoire that had a similar amount of plays to his most iconic track.
The song I heard was Nobody Speak and I loved it. Truth be told, I didn't expect him to have a more iconic track than 6 Days, but I was wrong. In researching DJ Shadow for the publication, I found out that he is one of the pioneers in fusing hip-hop with electronic music.
It was quite an interesting experience, because while gathering information in order to bring a publication, I ended up coming across a song that was quite to my liking and worth adding to my Spotify “Like” list.
DJ Shadow, whose real name is Joshua Paul Davis, is an American producer and DJ recognized for being a key figure in the evolution of instrumental hip hop and electronic music. His career took off with the release of Endtroducing in 1996, a revolutionary album that marked a before and after in the genre. Years later, in 2006, he was part of the soundtrack of the popular Fast and Furious saga, collaborating with Mos Def in one of the most outstanding tracks of the film: Six Days. This allowed him to gain even more recognition, considering that the song that was part of the soundtrack is the most listened to song of the film.
Nobody Speak is the second most listened song of the artist, it was released in 2016 for the album called The Mountain Will Fall where he made a collaboration with the group Run The Jewels. The song has a total of 110 million plays on the Spotify platform while on Youtube has 62 million.

The new format will be similar to the one we used some time ago, using the Hive Tools application. However, the application didn't always work, so this time we will be using a Discord bot that is in charge of returning a winner from among all the comments on a Hive post.
