Rising Star - My Daily song choice, Daily Rising Star statistics and giveaway of 150,000 starbits - Ojos de dragón! - Las Pastillas del Abuelo

In this space I will be giving away STARBITS, sharing my experience with a song, telling how I discovered it, and providing interesting information about it. Then I will include several tables with statistics of the Rising Star game.

Starting in May, I started to create a playlist to keep track of the last songs I commented on in my posts. It will be useful for me not to doubt if I had already talked about a song before or not. The last song is Still Dreaming of the artists Nas, Kanye West & Chrisette Michelle

My song of choice on Spotify for today's post is Ojos de Dragón of the argentine band Las Pastillas del Abuelo.

Today's song of the day is one of the first songs I heard from one of my all time favorite Argentinean bands: Las Pastillas del Abuelo. My history with the band begins during my teenage years, when I used to visit my father's house a lot, where I used to play a lot of ball with my stepbrother. His cousin lived practically next door, so we usually went to play ball with him. One of those days, he showed us an Argentine rock band whose style I liked a lot: Las Pastillas del Abuelo.

That was one of my first real contacts with Argentine Rock and it was one of the first bands I added songs to after creating my Spotify account. One of the things I can highlight about this band, is that they are not the typical band that I stick two or three songs and nothing else, but they have more than 20-30 songs that I liked a lot, both the classics and the old ones.

One of my favorite songs from the early stages of the band is the classic Ojos de Dragón, which was the second one I listened to, right after El Sensei.

Las Pastillas del Abuelo is an Argentine band formed in 2002 by vocalist and composer Piti Fernández, guitarist Diego Bozzalla, keyboardist Alejandro Mondelo, guitarist Fernando Vecchio, bassist Santiago Bogisich, saxophonist Joe l'Barbeito, and drummer Juan Comas.

They are one of the most important Argentine rock bands still active, with iconic songs such as El Sensei, Ojos de Dragón, ¿Qué es dios?, Tantas Escaleras, Rompecabezas de Amor, and Otra Vuelta de Tuerca.
