Hello, everyone! Today I will be continue to share high-quality songs, share how I discovered them, and share some interesting facts about them. To top it all off, I will also include several tables with the statistics compiled by the Rising Star game.
Since May, I have been creating a playlist to keep track of the latest songs I have discussed in my posts. This will help me keep track of the songs I have used so I dont end up repeating them. The last song I talked about in my last post is: He's a Demon, He's a Devil, He's a Doll from the artist Betty Hutton.
Somos: Los Autenticos Decadentes
My song of choice on Spotify for today's post is Somos from the argentine band Los Autenticos Decadentes.
As I always say, since I was a kid I was strongly influenced by Argentine rock thanks to the music my mother listened to. At home we listened to bands like Charly Garcia, Seru Giran, Soda Stereo, Los Abuelos de la Nada. At the time, I didn't think much of it and had no choice but to listen to it because it was coming out of my mother's computer speakers.
It wasn't until my teenage years that I got fully into the genre, mainly thanks to Spotify. That's when I started listening to more bands like Attaque 77, Los Piojos, Intoxicados, Las Pastillas del Abuelo, and Ciro y Los Persas. Around that time, I rediscovered a band I had seen in concert once in Morón: I'm talking about the famous band Los Autenticos Decadentes.
More recently, I listened to their collaboration with Mexican artist Julieta Venegas, which, in my opinion, was a huge hit. So I started exploring many of the band's hits, which made me feel quite nostalgic. One of those songs is Somos.
Los Autenticos Decadentes is an Argentine rock band formed in the late 1980s, with several members who changed over time. Among the best-known members of the group are Gustavo Parisi, Jorge Serrano, and Diego Demarco. Two of them are the main vocalists of the group... Jorge Serrano sings the more poetic songs and Diego Demarco sings the stronger ones.
Their first album was El milagro argentino, released in 1989, which included songs such as Veni Raquel and Loco por tu forma de ser. Over the years, they released several albums and established themselves as one of the most important bands in the country. However, they were not only successful in Argentina; throughout their career, they collaborated with several Mexican artists, which made them one of the most important bands there.
