Hello, everyone! Today I will be continue to share high-quality songs, share how I discovered them, and share some interesting facts about them. To top it all off, I will also include several tables with the statistics compiled by the Rising Star game.
Since May, I have been creating a playlist to keep track of the latest songs I have discussed in my posts. This will help me keep track of the songs I have used so I dont end up repeating them. The last song I talked about in my last post is: Last Nite from the iconic band called The Strokes.
Weeping Dawn: Borislav Slavov
My song of choice on Spotify for today's post is Weeping Dawn from the artist Borislav Slavov.
If there's one thing that has always shaped my musical tastes, it's video games. From a very young age, I spent hours playing sagas that not only gave me good stories, but also music that I still listen to today. I think music is quite important, whether it's to accompany a video game or to add more excitement to an epic scene.
On the one hand, there are games that use existing music from other eras to set the mood for their world. The Grand Theft Auto series is the best example. Thanks to its in-game radios, I ended up listening to old-school hip hop, international rock, country, and a bunch of genres I would never have sought out on my own. The same thing happened to me with Fallout and its selection of jazz and classics from the 50s and 60s.
But not all of it is recycled music from other decades. There are also video games that opt for original compositions that end up being just as important, if not more so. The soundtracks for The Witcher 3 and Kingdom Come Deliverance are excellent and perfectly accompany the medieval era they represent. My choice today belongs to this group, as I'm talking about one of the best songs from the Baldurs Gate 3 soundtrack: Weeping Dawn.
Borislav Slavov is a Bulgarian music composer who made a name for himself by contributing to the soundtracks of various video games. One of his best works was composed for one of the best games of the last decade: Baldur's Gate 3... which won many awards for its music and even GOTY for that year.
One of the most memorable songs on the soundtrack is Weeping Dawn, one of the most emotional songs in the game. The song is performed by the character Alfira during the first act, at a moment when the player intervenes and saves her life. It really is a beautiful song.
