I am using Ecency Pro and find myself paying more attention to users with that blue badge beside their username.

I do not want to sell my data on Hive in exchange for ads.

But your data are transparent anyway.

And that's exactly why I don't like it even more.

For you and me, â‚Ŧ19.99 may not be much. But for some people, that's enough to live on for an entire month.

It just creates a two-tier society again. Actually, probably even more than two tiers if every frontend starts doing this... well, many of them already are.

In my opinion, things really shouldn't depend on whether someone can afford to pay for premium features.

I'm not too worried about selling Data. What kind of data would they even be selling? Personally, I don't mind targeted ads. If anything, it's an advantage for me when I get offers that actually match my interests. It's not like they're handing out my email address and I'll suddenly start getting spam.

There are many ways to support the services that you use and the communities you enjoy.. Setting beneficiary rewards, voting on proposals and community posts, delegating HP, and remain active.etc.

I'm happy to help pay for the services I use in whatever way I can.

I believe ad revenue has been throughly researched and would be so miniscule that itt would not be worth it.

I'd actually be interested to know what kind of research was done there.

I do think it would be worth it if you did it the right way and then used it wisely.
