My great idea for publishing the Actifit report for today?
Entirely destroyed.
Why, you wonder?
Since, and this is very strange, my fitness tracker registered zero steps all day. Zilz. None at all.
Sadly, this isn't the first time it's done this kind of performance.
Though right now it remains a riddle wrapped in an enigma, I am convinced there is a rational answer.
It's also a crying shame that I can't just set my trusty Samsung Galaxy Watch as a data source.
Please, Actifit, may we get that feature fast-tracked? Would be pretty helpfull?
A Story of Chilly Steps (with a Sloshful of Summer Hope)
While the steps of today are nonexistent, yesterday's were gladly noted.
Still, I'm not sure exactly what you're yearning—a blow-by-blow account of a cold, soaked day?
It felt for a while like we would be completely skipping summer in the Netherlands.
The day was dominated by rain and cold; let me say that glancing out the window at work did not exactly make me happy.
In the parking lot, my car and that of some colleagues were receiving a suitable chilly shower. brrr!
Inside Adventures and Magical Distractions
Fortunately, the younger ones and I kept ourselves quite busy indoors.
In a rare peaceful time, I even took care of some paperwork.
And thankfully, a young lady with a bright presence and tiny hands eager to explore the keyboard turned what could have been a mind-numbingly dull task into a welcome and utterly adorable distraction.
With the toddlers and a few babies, we also started early on creating some Father's Day gifts.
We have a special day for all the fathers next Sunday, so naturally a homemade gift is absolutely essential!
This year the papas are receiving a pen holder with a ballpoint pen, embellished with a beautiful phrase and the sincere words, "Dad, I Love You More than words can say."
They even get to stamp the letters P and A on the holder, creating the Dutch word "Papa," which you surely guessed means Dad!). So beautiful!
An evening of do-it-yourself and impromptu exercise
It was time for a little do-it-yourself activity for yours truly as sunset arrived.
Clearly due for a replacement, my bathroom cabinet had better days.
Naturally, though, the new one arrived in a million bits.
Equipped with a screwdriver, a kilogramme of screws, and what seemed to be an infinite supply of planks, I set out this assembly project.
The cabinet stood proud at last after an hour and a half of intense wrestling!
The plus side is on a cold evening, it indeed kept me warm.
The knowledge that another cabinet needs to be put together makes me not particularly excited.
Still, that is a fight for another day. Bed was high time, and to be honest, I had nothing left for round two!
Recently, what kind of do-it-yourself projects have you worked on that become an unanticipated workout?
Goodnight everyone, and wishing you a healthy tomorrow.
Wishing you all the best in life and much health.
