Typically the weather is worse than forecast. Especially in the mountains. So seeing rain forecast for the afternoon, I planned my route carefully - I didn’t want to end up at a 2000m asl crest in a pouring rain.
The day has turned much better than expected. Yes, there were heavy clouds and yes, it rained a bit but nothing like expected. So we kept extending our trek and climbed two peaks above 2000m ASL (Chopok and Dumber, the highest peaks of Nizké Tatry, SK). While the distance was only 22km, the total elevation gain was a more than decent 1500m.
My dear Hive friends from Slovakia - you leave in a beautiful country. I hope you appreciate it.
