Expressions in portraits [Eng/Esp]

Faces always convey so much; it's amazing how you can try to decipher what a person is feeling if you stop for a couple of seconds to observe their features, and this is exactly what I want to share today: several portraits I took at a freestyle event quite some time ago, but which I think are worth sharing with the community. So, without further ado, I hope you enjoy the photographs.

Los rostros siempre transmiten muchas cosas; es increíble el cómo puedes intentar descifrar lo que una persona está sintiendo si te detienes un par de segundos para observar sus rasgos, y justo esto es algo que quiero compartir el día de hoy, varios retratos que hice en un evento de freestyle hace bastante tiempo ya, pero que considero valía la pena compartir en la comunidad, así que, sin más que agregar, espero que disfruten de las fotografías.

In many cases, planned portraits can be either very spontaneous or very planned, since you can try to capture something specific, but when you capture other moments where there is more movement, there is no time to think about what you want; you just have to act. Portraits can certainly be interesting because of the number of things that can be seen in the face. Obviously, many of them may not be so pretty, but they are more real, because they are exactly what is being experienced or appreciated at that moment.

En muchas ocasiones los retratos planeados pueden ser o muy espontáneos o muy planeados, ya que puedes intentar capturar algo en concreto, pero cuando capturas otros momentos donde son más movidos, no hay tiempo para pensar lo que quieres, sino que debes actuar, sin duda los retratos pueden ser interesantes, esto por la cantidad de cosas que se pueden apreciar en el rostro, evidentemente quizás muchas no sean tan lindas, pero sí que son más reales, porque es justo lo que se vive o aprecia en el momento.

They always say that eyes don't lie, and perhaps they're right to some extent. That's why I like taking portraits; it's an interesting way to capture people's essence, especially at events where emotions are running high, whatever the circumstances. But I suppose that's precisely what makes this type of portrait so interesting to photograph, or at least I really enjoy the challenge.

Siempre dicen que las miradas no mienten y quizás tengan algo de razón; por ese motivo me gusta hacer retratos, es una manera interesante de captar la esencia de las personas y más en eventos donde las emociones están a flor de piel según la circunstancia que sea, pero supongo que justamente eso es lo que hace que este tipo de retratos sean tan interesantes de fotografiar o, por lo menos, a mí me encanta bastante el reto.
