Tom, the neighbor's cat [Eng/Esp]

Many people think I'm lucky with cats because of the number of photos I take of them and because they often cooperate quite a bit, but there are also times when it's a bit tricky. Today I'm sharing some photos I took of Tom, a neighbor's cat who, even though he looks so calm in the photos, still doesn't trust me and I have to take the photos from a distance because the slightest movement makes him run away. I hope you enjoy these photos.

Muchas personas consideran que tengo suerte con los gatos, por la cantidad de fotos que les hago y que en muchas ocasiones colaboran bastante, pero también tengo momentos donde es un poco complicado y el día de hoy les comparto unas fotografías que le hice a Tom, un gato vecino el cual, aunque lo vean tan tranquilo para las fotografías, todavía no confía en mí y tengo que hacer las fotos desde lejos, porque al cualquier mínimo movimiento se va corriendo, espero que disfruten de estas fotografías.

There is a type of cat that is very shy around people, while others like to be petted, but Tom is definitely one of the former. It's not that he let me take pictures of him with me nearby, it's that he was inside his house and I was standing behind the fence that clearly separated us. I knew I couldn't get any closer, so I had to use the zoom on my camera to take these pictures. That's why the photos look like they were taken up close, but it was definitely a lot of work to take them.

Hay un tipo de gatos que son muy sigilosos con respecto a las personas, mientras otros les gusta que las personas les hagan cariño, pero Tom sin duda es de los primeros y no es que se dejó hacer las fotos teniéndome cerca, es que, él está dentro de su casa y yo estaba desde el enrejillado que claramente nos separaba, sabía que no podía avanzar más de ahí, por lo que tuve que apoyarme del Zoom de mi cámara para estas fotografías, de ahí que las fotos parezcan estar cerca, pero sin duda fue un trabajo completo el hacerle estas fotografías.

What I do consider an advantage in a way is that Tom, knowing that I couldn't get past him, ignored me and did whatever he wanted: he cleaned himself up, lay down, looked around to see where the noise was coming from, and just stayed there. It was good for me, obviously, because it gave me the opportunity to take pictures, but he also moved his face around a lot, so I had to take several shots to get a good focus.

Lo que sí considero una ventaja de alguna manera es que Tom, al saber que no podía pasar yo, hasta me ignoraba e hizo lo que quiso: se limpió, se acostó, miró a todos los lados de donde provenía ruido y simplemente estuvo allí. Fue algo bueno para mí, claramente porque me daba la oportunidad de hacer fotografías, pero también movía mucho la cara, por lo que tuve que hacer varias fotos para enfocar de una buena manera.
